No it wasn't. If you read nytimes or espn article about his business model, floyd gets money from concessions, parking, etc. So to make $40 mil off ppv, then he needed to sell 1.5 mil ppvs. He still has other revenue streams on fight night like theatre tickets etcetc.

So Floyd might have earned around $33m for that.

With Cotto taking a bigger cut than Ortiz, I would imagine that for Floyd to get $40m he would have to do 1.6m this time around.
