You might be right but posting that video to validate your point is laughable.

Cotto has one of the best jabs in boxing and to compare his jab and timing to the guys in that video is laughable.

Cotto has one of the best jabs no doubt but you have to keep in mind the reach and speed disadvantage Cotto has got.

Decent is just average. He doesnt have a Mayweather jab or a Klit Jab. Its just avg to me. He never dominates any opposition with the jab.

It doesnt matter if he had a gash over his eye, his eye wasn't swollen shut, He isn't the first fighter to get a cut and fight through it. But the fact is Clottey outlanded Cotto in power punches and jabs and was landing everything from right hands, jabs, hooks, uppercuts you name it.

Now, I stated that I posted a video in this thread of the smaller, shorter reach Manny out jabbing Cotto....why is that? Cottos jab will not be a factor at all. Also I stated that the DLH that Mayweather fought was more powerful, faster, smarter, better left hook, jab, and right hand than Cotto and Mayweather nullified all his weaponry and even landed ore jabs than Oscar......

When did I say it will or won't be effective on floyd? When did I say if he was or if he wasnt getting timed by floyd? I read what u said bout cotto only having a decent jab which I totally disagree with. I believe he has one of the best jabs in boxing. Now if it will be effective that we won't know till may 5th. You are right hes not the first to fight with a cut all I said was he got cut on his left eyebrow blood was flowing into it so its going to be very hard to see that right coming. I just think its not the best example to use. I believe using another fight where that happened would be a better example than the one where he had one eye that is all

Cotto is a family man. That's his mentality in the ring. This is a win for Mayweather before it even got started. I would like Cotto to win but he ain't the same, but that new coach of his did wonder for him in the Margarito fight. Cotto to nice in the ring.

I believe any fighter in the ring with Margarito would have won, his eye was going to swell no matter who was in the other corner. That was a set up

That much is wrong. Cotto has an exceptional jab, what's questionable is his use of it. The actual punch itself is as good as there is in the sport, he just doesn't utilize it to it's full potential like Wlad does.

Either way, it's not a jab that can bother Mayweather. A guy like Vernon Forrest would have bothered Floyd more because he was so long that he could jab and stay out of reach of Floyd's pull counter. A short jab like Cotto's Floyd will take right out of the equation, a long jab is what Floyd would likely have trouble against.
