Actually... yes, it is. Look what Marquez does to Manny, he turns him and throws a three punch combo. Sure, Margarito is a lot slower and dumber than Manny but Cotto's power more than makes up for it. I mean seriously, if the fights at 150 you are going to tell me 5 pounds of muscle isn't going to make a difference? Not to mention how much better his stamina would be and he would have a better gameplan. I'll say this, the first time they fought when Cotto had no trainer or confidence 2 pounds was enough. Now that he has all of the above, THEY ARE THE ONES ASKING for Cotto in the first place but now he has to drop 7 pounds?

Not to mention Manny isn't the same monster he was in his DLH/Hatton/Cotto terror, that kind of monster is gone. While the boxing IQ and ability has gotten much better for Cotto. No one is saying it would be easy but at 150+ beating Floyd or not I'm going to favor Cotto over Manny.

LOL... a healthy and undefeated cotto was ****d by margarito...

and what does a healthy cotto @ 154 proved in winning against a one-legged foreman, less-than-average mayorga, and a cracked-orbital boned margarito?...

cotto will be stopped by pacquiao at any weight... cotto's style is just perfect for pacquiao...

A Margarito with loaded gloves , and before a forced 2 yr lay off and a struggling fight with a dud , you kids are all about face value you just cant analyze the conditions or form leading into a fight , its all about the bash thats in your face , the dynamics of it all you have no clue , thats why they can sell you hype so easy !

          • Just because Cotto supposedly outgrew 147 doesn't mean Pacquiao did. He is still a very small welterweight that could probably still make 135. So why does he have to come to 154 to fight a guy he already beat. Dawson beat Adamek at 175 an Adamek was weight drained. Adamek moved up to Cruiserweight and then heavyweight. Does he now have the right to insist that Dawson fight him at heavyweight so he can avenge his defeat? I think the people that say Pac should have fought Cotto at 154 are mostly the same people who said he should have fought Marquez 3 at 135. They hate Pac's guts and would love to see him lose.Is it possible that Pac refused to fight Cotto above 147 not because he thought he would lose but because he was tired of getting hit by punchers that outweigh him by near 20 pounds in the ring? You can crybaby all you want but Pacquiao is staying at 147. To damn bad if you don't like it.

            • Does De La Hoya hit Harder than Cotto @ 154

If Oscar hits harder than Cotto, then Mayweather already took some good shots of Oscars and didnt even stagger. Anyone know what size gloves they used in that Oscar - Floyd 154 fight.

cotto and mayweather fighting wit 8 ounce.

                • They used tens. And I think Oscar has more one shot power than Cotto, but Cotto has very heavy hands.

                    • Did Oscar land anything clean though. I know he threw hella punches early, but I forgot if he landed clean, "on the button" shots.
