Sergio would be favourite against Floyd. Only because people dont rate floyd. People thought JMM had a good chance to beat floyd but in hindsight the weight gain was too much with no warm up fight at that weight. People thought hatton could beat Floyd, but then realized referee help, home advantage, and at 147 was too much an advantage for floyd as well.

Joe public don't make the odds in boxing, they just talk that Floyd can be beat but don't usually put their money where their mouth is. The smart bettors, and even some of the Floyd haters out there who couldn't pass up on any action because they're degenerates, usually bets on Floyd, the smart money choice in those 2 fights you've mentioned.

sergio would still be the underdog ....he had a good run last year tho he's not as established known fighter just yet.......casual fans would' still doubt his capabilities.....

When in comes to boxing odds, there are a lot of things that comes into play. Who you beat or who you fought (if he's coming off a loss, and how you lost), a boxer's activity or lack thereof, if he's moving up or down in weight division, if he's showing signs of wear and tear or about to hit his prime and everything that comes up here in NSB.

Here's a prime example on how odds fluctuate according to the 2 potential boxers' (who's being projected to fight each other) recent performances:

Will we ever see a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.? At this point, who knows? The fact it hasn’t happened yet is hurting boxing, but let’s face it, the sport has been known to shoot itself in the foot before. All I know is that bettors at Bodog’s Online Sportsbook desperately want to see it happen.

We’ve had a line for the Pacquiao-Mayweather super-fight since November of 2009 (before Pacquiao fought and beat Oscar De La Hoya) when talks started to heat up between the two competitors. Mayweather opened as a -160 favorite and Pacquiao was a +140 underdog. Heavy betting on the dog combined with an impressive TKO of Miguel Angel Cotto moved the line to Pacquiao +120. Another impressive title defense in March versus Joshua Clottey moved the line close to a ‘pick-em,’ where Mayweather held a slight edge at -120.

Until May, all the action was on Pacquiao and the bout was a ‘pick-em’ at -115 on both sides. But after a dominant performance versus Shane Mosley, heavy betting on Mayweather moved the line back to -150.

It is a different situation for the book as we’re not use to having a bout up that is not scheduled while the two fighters fight different opponents. There has been so much movement on this line, mostly dependent on what the competitors were doing, and it’s amusing that we currently sit approximately where the line started last year. Mayweather is at -140; Pacquiao at +110.

If this fight never happens, it will be a boxing tragedy. And it’s not just that it would be a great fight, it’s that the sports needs as much positive press as possible, particularly with the rise of MMA, even though I’m not convinced that’s necessarily a bad thing for the sport. It just doesn’t look good when MMA is making great strides into the mainstream while boxing appears to be choking on its own incompetence.

As a bookmaker I can tell you that Pacquiao-Mayweather would garner more betting action than any UFC fight could. In fact, it wouldn’t even be close. Boxing is still the king of the big fight, as evidenced by both fighters’ matchups with Oscar De La Hoya, which were pay-per-view and betting bonanzas. The only problem, and it’s a big one, is the lack of product to sell fight fans. This is the bout everyone wants to see. Two stars in the same ring. One-star fights are a much tougher sell and always will be. If only they could figure it out.

As for Fraud, I'd make him the underdog against any prime pressure fighter that's in his weight class.

For instance, if he fought Margarito in his prime circa 2006-2008, I'd make Margarito the overdog in that fight by k.o.

I think floyd has got an inferiority complex, like he has put Sergio and Pac on a pedestal. If he could beat Sergio wouldnt he have fought him already? THats a good scalp right now, so why not? Its like Floyd is subconsciosly saying he is too big and good.
And his attitude rubs off onto people on the outside looking in. If Floyd dont believe in himself (no matter what he says) how is a ******* going to believe him, or even a *****? Obviously *****s will pretend to think Floyd can walk on water, but even *****s have doubts, because they deep down think floyd has doubts.
Actions speak louder than words, and as far as floyd is concerned there is no actions of late, or even near future.

I take Martinez, he would expose Floyd by using his movement and reach. Martinez is unorthodox and a lefty, he is taller, has a reach advantage, and is a naturally bigger guy....Floyd gets bullied around until he quits on his stool- crying in Ellerbe's lap.

It doesn't work that way, although it could open up with Floyd as a slight favorite and end up as an underdog if there were a lot of Pacquiao money pouring in. It's not up to "them" whoever they are, it's up to Joe pub's money...

You guys have to remember that PPV buys aren't driven by Hardcore fans, PPV are driven by casual fans, even rated #3 P4P boxer right now, you go out in the street and ask who Sergio Martinez is I garantee u that more than 75% of people aren't going to know who the hell he is, but if u ask who Floyd is, it'll be different.... this would be the same in betting...

Now as far as the Pac fight, Floyd would be the underdog, you have to remember that Pac is the peoples champ right now like it or not guys, he is the guy thats making boxing what it is right now, like it or not.... in betting circles it would be the same, and Floyd won't be betting on himself I garantee u that!!

If he looses his post fight commentary should go something like this: "Larry stick to commentating, I lost tonight, but i'm still undefeated and #1 P4P, and I still made money!!!!
