I agree. Mayweather would definitely be the favorite, though it would be close. Maybe in the -150 range.i dont think Vegas would make Floyd an underdog in that fight...the line would be very close
as for fight fans, they would probably also lean towards Floyd...
we dont know how Sergio would do against a slick, pot shotting, elusive, smaller fighter that's very accurate....we've seen him whoop dominant ****ers that came to him, we dont know how good he is at chasing being the one to apply the pressure...
I was just asking, because some people seem to be saying "I'd make him the underdog", and I was assuming Larry wasn't asking for personal opinion, but rather the Vegas odds.
I think with Sergio, there's guys like Pavlik, who obviously make him look outstanding. And then there's guys like Mayweather, who could potentially make him look really bad.Comment

If they fought above 154, I think Mayweather would be the underdog. Martinez is so hyped right now and Mayweather so inactive, Martinez would be the betting favorite.Comment

first of all im quite sure "overdog" isnt a real word. but more importantly LOL!!!!!!! at margarito being favored to beat floyd even in his prime and pressure fighters being the ones to beat floyd.
pressure fighters are tailor made for floyd. leftys, long reach, good jab, fast hands and boxing IQ (mainly the ability to use feints to set traps) are the things that give floyd problems. pressure fighters are like a x-mas gift.
to answer TS i would personally favor martinez over floyd, i think betting would be about even. sergio is fast, smart, skilled, a southpaw and has a big size advantage on floyd. floyd didnt look quite like himself in his only fight at 154, against martinez he would likely fight at a higher weight than that.Comment
