Comments Thread For: Guerrero: I Don't Think Marquez Wants it Anymore

Former two-time IBF featherweight and one-time IBF super featherweight titlist, lightweight contender, Robert Guerrero (28-1-1, 18 knockouts), has similarly sought an initial match up with Juan Manuel Marquez (51-5-1, 38 KOs), being the mandatory challenger to Marquez's WBO belt. Golden Boy Promotions has tried to approach Marquez with the fight. The Mexican champion is not interested.

Guerrero can say what he wants, but I hope that fight never happens. Marquez would no doubt make him quit like Yordan did. After Morales, I think Marquez will go after Khan or Bradley.

I disagree with you. If Marquez fought Mayweather two divisions north of lightweight, and many even say that Marquez is a light 135 pounder, why would he be scared of Guererro?

Marquez is not ducking anyone. At his age, he is simply looking for the biggest purses. Remember the guy is 37 years old, that is ancient for a guy in his weight class. He wants his final fight with Pacquiao and retire.

Robert Guerrero fights too much like Sergio Mora and Steven Luevano for us to want to see him fight again.

Who the F is Robert G???!!!! Hhahaha. Marquez is 37 and is not going to waste his time w this rookie who Juan would murder anyway for a fraction of the money he would get w Morales. Cant hate on the guy for trying to get
                  his biggest pay day

A fight with Guerrero > a fight with Morales.
