Why is Donaire so heavily favored by the boxing public?

I'm pulling for donaire, but a part of me wants it to be close and go the full 12 rounds. Wouldn't mind the possibility of a trilogy between these two.

Concerning about Nonito's chin I think it was tested before with his fight against Concepcion who came over weight almost 2 full weight classes(bantamweight 118, Concepcion that night 119.5 for their fight at super flyweight 115) and refused to wear 10oz gloves which was a penalty for coming over the agreed weight.

but then again Donaire is also a good counter puncher & had one of the best counter left in the business

i maybe wrong but i think the only style that could beat Nonito is more defensive style with a consistent jab

          Mthalane laid out the blueprint
I thin outboxing him is out of the question and Fernando knows it. He has to try and hurt him

I haven't seen enough of Montiel to judge the odds. And I seemed to have missed Donaire's only bout he struggled in against Concepcion I think...

In Donaire's other fights he looks like he's the real deal. One of the best at any weight.

10 ounce gloves at 118 pounds is ridiculous. They could get away with 6-7 ounce gloves.

he didn't struggled against Concepcion, he had that fight in the bag but couldn't KO him because he injured his left

he struggled against Mthalane, you can see his face was swollen because of Mthalane stiff jabs

I think Montiel is over rated and has been lucky a few times now, Donaire has the edge in every department. I dont even think it will be overly competetive
