but if you are implying that Vic's resume should exclude Rojas then I can counter that he is no worse than Chino Garcia

Well why do you think Tomas Rojas should be included in Vic record? And stop talking about Chino Garcia. No one said Montiel is better because him.

Both have similar KO %'s... who do you think is the stronger puncher? Montiel has had more fights though so I guess his KO % is better.

Both have very tough fights ahead of them. I would absolutely love to see fight between the two of them if both are successful.

            A dream scenario:

            Round 1:

            Fight 1:

            - Donaire vs. Montiel
            WBC & WBO titles

            Fight 2:

            - Agbeko vs. Mares
            IBO & WBC Silver titles

            Fight 3:

            - Darchinyan vs. Perez

            ________

            Round 2:

            Fight 4:

            - Winner of Fight 1 vs. Anselmo Moreno
WBC, WBO & WBA Super titles, would determine an undisputed champion as three of the 4 titles would be on the line

            Fight 5:

            - Loser of Fight 1 vs. Winner of Fight 2.
            IBO & WBC Silver titles

            Fight 6:

            - Loser of Fight 2 vs. Winner of Fight 3.

            Fight 7:

            - Loser of Fight 3 vs. Koki Kameda
            WBA Regular title

            _____________

            Round 3:

            Fight 8:

            - Winner of Fight 4 vs. Winner of Fight 5
WBA, WBC, WBO & IBO titles - Undisputed and Lineal crowns

            Fight 9:

            - Loser of Fight 4 vs. Winner of Fight 6

            Fight 10:

            - Loser of Fight 5 vs. Winner of Fight 7
            WBA Regular

            Fight 11:

            - Loser of Fight 6 vs. Loser of Fight 7.

              well for starters

the Rojas fight was for his interim belt and Vic's WBA belt

Rojas after his loss to Vic went on to become a world champion again this past year

that makes him a two time world champion

and no I won't stop talking about Chino Garcia

why? well because you came in here trying to invalidate Rojas as anything of note for Vic without realizing that Montiel has questionable guys on his list as well.

in other words I am doing a comparison. That is how we assess whose resume is better for the most part.

you bring up Rojas I bring up Chino

              simple

I did not bring up Rojas you idiot.

It was E-4-E who made a list that included Rojas and all I was ask him if he considered Rojas an elite fighter and you get all defensive.

Of course both have questionable guys. They have start somewhere and every now and then they have a tune up.

The interim belt is not world championship belt.

Furthermore, he won the vacant belt against Kohei Kono. Who is not a great fighter.

At a time when Castillo did not matter anymore, yes.

His wins over Mijares and Arce are arguably just as good/if not better than Montiel's wins over Hasgawa and Castillo. However Montiel battered Hasegawa in Japan, which deserves a lot of praise.

I'm undecided, that's why I made this poll - to see what BoxingScene thinks.
Mijares is a great victory for Vic but not Arce come on he was awsome but he was past it already hell i knew he would lose thought by early ko

Rojas is another good victory for Vic
