maidana just needs a better camp to beat khan, but i doubt thatll happen. hopefully a rematch can be made, but not right now. they both need to fight some other people first, theres lots of competition in the 140 division, specifically khan/bradley & maidan/alexander.

Gatti and Ward fought 3 times in a row without taking on anyone else in the interim.

Of course Amir Khan fans think that would be a terrible idea because they are British and inherently prefer to see their favorite fighters in handpicked uncompetitive fights against undeserving challengers. Last thing they want to see is a tough fight for one of their boys, they just want easy wins like they got from Calzaghe and Hatton and are currently getting from Haye.

Notice how they don't support Carl Froch. It's because they don't like the fact that he has big balls and takes tough fights every time out.

I think people are forgetting how badly Maidana was losing that fight rounds 1-9. Maidana needs to fight another 140 pounder.

Hey Maidana, why don't you fight Kell Brook @ catch weight?
That would be an interesting fight and I'm sure Frank Warren would love to make that one happen in the UK.

Maidana how about you fight Ortiz for a rematch at 143 pounds on April 16th since you also struggled with weight...quit going after rematches if you won't give any yourself...Ortiz quit while he was beating you and you got a lucky cut on his eye which might have been on a clash of heads in round five...give Ortiz the rematch and you'd become Khan's mandatory again!

Wouldnt be a viable fight at this moment in time. Maidna coming of a very close fight loss, n ortiz looking awful in his recent fights. Maidana would destroy ortiz again. Sorry to say that about ur fav fighter, but its the truth

Ortiz has been wanting this rematch he's been fighting cautiously because that's the style he wants for the maidana rematch...Ortiz made Khan's power look like pitty pats when Khan faught Maidana it was a technical miss match he almost got KO's in the 10th round but was dominated by Khan..Maidana will respect Ortiz's power...Ortiz will make maidana miss and will throw some bombs!

why would he? he didn't in their first fight and made him quit while he was ahead. he destroyed his fighters mentality and ruined his potentially great career

Maidana said he wouldn't rematch Ortiz because he hits too hard...he know Ortiz won't make the same mistake and slug it out Maidana will be counter punched all night and there is a very high chance Maidana gets dropped multiple times again...True Ortiz did quit but he was ahead...if he really dug deep maybe he coulda pulled a stoppage for the next round...
