why is that? I don't get that concept....Mayweather is moving UP to fight one of the elite pound for pound fighters today, and Zab is fighting someone coming up in weight and was a longtime friend.

Because Mayweather is already great and Zab is only thought of as good. Mayweather can afford to lose one fight, where Zab really can't right now.

I have to agree with this guy.. Zab does come out as a wuss in this whole mess. Why else would he turn down all that money..Rumor has it Zabdiel was gonna net 4 mil vs Mayweather. He won't net more then 300,000 vs this guy.

whats up with zab wanting to fight mayweather at 148 so if he loses he doesn't lose the belts!?!?! i was told that was why they reneged in the contract with mayweather. floyd didn't want to do that, he wanted the belts on the line....
also why doesn't he fight sharmba at least he was a contender, baldomir hasn't any exposer to the boxing public. he's not even a mandatory. if zab does take this fight, especially after all the hype between him and mayweather, he is going to look like a punk ***** to 'most' of the boxing world and be made out to be one to the general public. taking a fight like this, is like committing career suicide...there isnt one person in this world other then baldomir's people who want to see this fight. even zab diehards don't want to see this fight, they'd rather see him against a name opponent. people want to see the champ risk his belts, not pad his record!!!!
this is a terrible move on zabs part especially when the boxing world has been watching him so closely of late after the whole mayweather deal.....and he wonders why no one is giving him the respect he wants and thinks he deserves...bad move if he takes this fight.....
