Marquez doesnt have the power to hurt Valero. Valero has one punch KO power. We're talking about a guy who won all this fights by KO. Something that has never been done EVER. He was a WBC and WBA champ. Hard to say he hasn't fought anyone when he was a world champion.

Marquez has lost every big fight he has ever been in. Unless you count Juan "Baby Fat" Diaz. Valero has never even come close to tasteing defeat and was raw. His potential was up there with Pacquiao.

Valero did NOT have one punch K.O power. This is a common misconception people view Valeros record see the 27 fights 27K.O and automatically think the guy must of had one punch K.O power which he never had he was heavy handed yes but he wore his opponents down with an accumulation of hard shots (you would know this if you had saw his fights).

Valero never fought anyone remotely close to elite level.

        Who did he fight?

He hit guys with everything, and onlky broke them down.

        He didn't even drop Demarco.

His last 3 gys before Marco, 35, 36 and 39.

If Pacquaio had trouble with JMM at 130 (Who I am a fan of)

What makes you think Valero wouldn't?

JMM would never get hit as much as the bums Valero faced.

JMM also is the msot technical fighter Valero would have faced, with a better offense and defense than anyone Valero has faced.

Valero is not better than Pac at 135 when Pac was at 130.

Valero kept his chin up, and only mvoed backwards, never sidewards. He was open to get hit anytime he went in.

When Valero does a 1,2 1,2 combo, his head is there, he doesn't duck and rarely gets out.

Valero can not attack and then work on defence at the same time.

Basically anyone on Valero's resume gets stopped by JMM, and the guys at 140.

I just cant see how Valero would mount any kind of offense as hes dead.

if this is a fantasy matchup then put it in the fantasy section please.

The hate for Valero is sickning.

Dude was vicious and relentless. That fight wouldve been a war.

who did valero beat to deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as the great juan manuel marquez? he hasnt proved he is even on that level, plus his wild and sloppy style is perfect for JMM. the only question is how long he can stand up to marquez' shots, he wouldve been knocked out for sure though.

Who did Paul Williams beat before he went and beat Margarito?

See my point? It doesnt mean much. It doesnt really matter who you fought. JMM loves to **** and against Valero that wopuld get light switch turned off. I really love Valeros chances in that fight.

are u serious? it doesnt matter who u fought when u step into the ring with one of the greatest fighters to ever lace up a pair of gloves? LOL! trust me, u need experience at the highest level before u fight someone like JMM or his skills and smarts will have u as confuzed before he knocks u out as u are when u wake up.

JMM wouldnt have to trade with valero anyways, valero is so open marquez could go into counterpunching mode and knock him out without exposing himself in the process.

also margaritos best wins at the time he fought williams were cintron, andrew lewis and clottey so his resume wasnt all that good either, he just got a rep that ppl were ducking him but he hadnt acctually beat alot of top fighters in the ring. also hes a straightforward fighter, something williams seen before, JMM is much more complicated to deal with. with tony u need to be tough but with JMM u need to be tough, smart and skilled not to mention plain better than margarito. hes a whole other challenge.
