The truth is the network wanted Berto/Cotto if they couldnt get Cotto/Martinez. They didn't want Cotto Mayorga and started this showtime mess. Berto would have fought Cotto. That fight was killed before it got off the ground though. I don't see him going out of his way to fight Cintron or Clottey without HBO at least wanting the fight. I personally wouldnt mind seeing those fights though.

Like I said man, Cintron's a grade A bitch, he's funny though you have to admit

Not only that, some people forget the act he put on against Feliciano, where he acted like he broke his hands because he performed poorly. I always knew something wasn't right with Cintron. In all honestly, Berto is limited to whack options and although I don't like Cintron...I'll go as far as admitting that Cintron would most likely give Berto more trouble than Ortiz, Aydin, JoJo Dan...but Cintron pulling another weird stunt, that ain't a risk Berto or HBO should be willing to take.

They really aren't too many current welters that are a whole lot better than the journeyman Berto just beat. What REALLY needs to happen is HBO needs to do whatever it takes to get Berto and Cotto in the ring together. That's the fight that needs to happen.

Berto's been constipating HBO's boxing programming and budget longer than anyone I can remember.

Only a bankrupt hack faggot would compare Berto to Mosley.
I think he was talking specifically about the dates Shane used to get against non elites early on though.

OMG, I thought I was the only person who saw that fight. That...was hilarious. The way he fell to the ground in celebration. WTF??

Let me get this straight, HBO took a chance with Guzman but shouldn't on Cintron?

They don't want to acknowledge that, Berto isn't the guy who came out and said "I'm not interested in Cotto".

No longer a fan of Guzman by the way. I seriously couldn't care less about him.
