Even in the golden era of the Heavyweight division there were scarcely any Hispanics.

It's just the way it is. There have been some exceptions like Jose Torres etc but in general Hispanics will never dominate the upper weight classes.

i'm thinking it has more to do with establishing a pattern on how fulfilled they felt after watching fights with non-hispanics, in comparison with one in the fight and they surmise that the way to go in terms of the better fight.
