He went to 154 to face a WBC champion who had just brutally knocked out a dangerous Mayorga then,whooped the guy's ass.They brought in Mosley who was supposed to be the toughest opponent,well he whooped the guy's ass.Yes Floyd might fight Martinez not to prove anything because Floyd will shut that guy out completely for 12 rounds.Martinez will struggle to get a round against Floyd.He's good but not on Floyd's level

Yeah, Floyd has already had a "prove himself" career. That part of his career is long over. No one who earns major titles in five weight classes is still in "needs to prove himself" territory, I'm sorry.

They brought bloated JMM from lower division came 2lbs heavier and refuse to be weigh before the fight. He paid 600,000 dollars to avoid dehydration and losing weight advantage on JMM. He claims to be all time great but until now he is on a vacation.

Floyd is the most publicly tormented athlete of all time by the general public, boxing fans and the media. 10% of boxing fans are Floyd fans and think hes set the world on fire... The other 90% see the truth that hes got a very light resume compared to the available competition in the WW division.

In the lightweight ranks he was more willing to take dangerous fighters yet still was picking his opponents VERY carefully. Now he's just one excuse after another.

As for him fighting Martinez theres no reason he should. Martinez is too big for him just like hes too big for Manny. I don't think asking Martinez to starve himself down to fight either of these guys is realistic when theres plenty of good natural fighters at 147.

If he stays out of jail I don't expect him to go right to Manny but would like to see him fight Cotto, or Kahn or Berto.. just anybody that's a true threat. I thought that may have been Mosely but not the case. Still give him credit for fighting Shane. I think hes really getting tired of all the negative press, getting slammed on live TV and Radio interviews. And causing him to try and prove everybody wrong...

With all Floyd's infinite talent in the ring he doesn't have a fighters heart and without all this criticism we may never see him at his best.
