Comments Thread For: Miranda vs St-Juste in Trouble Over Weight Compromise

According to the reports of journalist Vincent Morin of 24H, Colombia's Edison Miranda may not be able to comply with the required weight of 168 pounds to face Renan St-Juste on March 19 at the gala put together by InterBox at Montreal's Bell Centre. The public relations head of InterBox, David Messier, says that Miranda allegedly asked to adjust the combat weight to 175 lbs. St-Juste had recently made the jump from 160-pounds to super middleweight.

This would be an awesome fight if it happens. Renan St Juste is a brawler in spurts and Miranda is a weak chinned tough guy. It should be a great fight with constant shifts in momentum.

It'll be good while it lasts. I'll pick St Juste by early round KO.

Dont you think he would be tired of fighting canadians of in canada?

Fought his last 4 fights in Canada only once not being the "opponent", and fought 5 times in canada in bigger fights. Fought Bute (twice), Otis Grant, Eric Lucas.

Whats next St Juste? Diaconu? Pascal? Lemeuix?, when can they embrace him as one of their own??

I would love to see Pascal-Andrade at 175 right now.

We almost consider Andrade as one one us. He's a good guy and has a big heart. I know he likes to fight here too. St-Juste-Andrade would be a good fight. I see Andrade winning and I would cheer for him.
