de la hoya the greatest mexican fighter ever?

in my opinion he is..he fought GREAT opposition..he would beat chavez in any part of chavez career being that hes too short and slow...he looks for challenges and moves around in different weight classes unlike morales and barrera..who agrees hes the greatest mexican fighter ever!

hahaha no way... Chavez in his prime would have owned a prime Oscar De La Hoya and stopped him.

Think about it this way in the second fight, Chavez OLD, SlOW, and Overweight, still gave Oscar a fight, still did damage till the 8th where he quit.

A worn down and beaten Oscar would have faded in the late rounds and been brutally knocked out by Chavez who had touched him plenty already

I think most of u guys just remember the older past-prime after 1990 chavez.

DLH would of still knocked Chavez the **** out in his "prime" like he did when Chavez was 33...infact he would of dominated him just like he did two times already...

ultimate...chavez was slow and short his whole career..and the de la hoya that fought chavez wasnt even in his prime yet..a taller quick man usually always beat a short slow man...at 140 de la hoya was a knockout artist..he also would have punished tszyu..i never said de la hoya was the greatest of all time..i said greatest mexican..and actually chavez at 33 was stronger then a young chavez..de la hoya would have beat him worse had he been younger

In this Era DLH IS the best... One of my favorite fighters too!
True warrier... One of the Best Chins in the business, punching power, speed, and much more..
However he decided to make a circus out of his Boxing carer and move on to buy himself a middleweight title...

DLH was a good fighter not great second he was born in the us not mexican hes a chicano. Also DLH was blown up by the media. He never beat anyone in there prime convincingly he should of lost to whitaker, quartay, and strum. Got his ass handed to him against mosley in the first fight barley beat a shot mosley in a rematch you could say he beat chavez though he waited four years to give him a rematch and chavez stood his own in the rematch. Hardly sounds like the pedigree of a great champion
