Considering Maidana lost to Khan last month, he’s quite rightly received little/no negative press, due squarely to his never say die attitude and being involved in the best fight of 2010
Losing has never been so good!
Khan, of course, took away equal praise for proving wrong many of his doubters, showing true heart.
However, Saturday’s embarrassment will only go to strengthen both Khan and Maidana’s reputation. In fact based on what i saw last night I’d have Khan, and then Maidana, head and shoulders the top two in the division.
Of course statistically this is rubbish, Bradley is the main man, but put Maidana in with either Bradley or Alexander and i see only a bulldozing from Maidana.
I really like this kid, he’s mustard, a real tough nut.
I could see him quite easily getting the winner of Khan / Bradley, or the loser. That loss has done nothing to diminish his career, his reputation or his following. Arguably it’s done it all a huge favour.
