Grants are good for the hands. Reyes Altho they cause cuts and do increase your pop(sort of speak) they are not good for everybody.
Speaking of which I just bought some grants for my birthday. Best 220 I ever spent.

From what I've seen, gloves do make a difference in hand protection. That's what they're really designed for, not to protect the other guy. I've heard varying opinions about how much difference a particular glove makes in terms of "pop". Most boxers seem to believe they do affect the impact of punches. I'm not sure any glove actually increases power, per se, but some might increase the perceived impact. Of course, as Eaner points out, Tim would probably be more concerned about the health of his hands.Comment

I haven't boxed in years, so I'm somewhat of out of the loop with regard to newer equipment. I was referring to the older Everlast models. As I alluded to before, Everlast overhauled their product line and image a few years ago. They had to, in order to stay competitive. For decades, Everlast was the most recognizable name in boxing. They started to lose market share and made some timely improvements to the company. I have to hand it to them; they did a good job. "Adapt, improvise, overcome...."Comment
