When will hbo put the classics in the garage?

Last night it really hit me. Merchant, lampley, steward, lederman and buffer to name a few are way past their prime. Buffer was horrible. He still has the golden voice but the delivery is way off. Merchant must be senile. He makes absolutely no sense. a bow and a wow.....wow!!! Lampley has always been just a fan and is plain boring when not rooting for a certain fighter(never thought i'd long for a **** ****) lederman....enough said. As for steward he's the best. The man never disappoints, 64 seconds in and he delivers this classic line......."THE FIGHT IS GOING PRETTY MUCH EXACTLY LIKE I EXPECTED".......What a prognosticator!!!!!!!! the next nostradamus

Time for some new blood as the five above named have well over 150 years experience among them. I'm almost positive I heard of each of them during the 80's......the f'ing EIGHTIES. Maybe some new blood for the newer generations of boxing fans.

I see what you're saying but i dont know for some reason the fights just dont seem as big unless these guys are calling them.

No its not just you.

They were probably at their all time low last night. At one point I can't remember if it was Lampley or Merchant but someone said: "going in we knew that Alexander was the boxer and Bradley is the puncher"



I also thought them comparing these glorified prospects to Hagler/Hears in the opening was absurd.

HBO is finished imo. They're irrelevant in boxing.

I disagree with Merchant he still the man.

He said line yesterday that was on point IMO.

And, it was something like Devon fights like he wants to be good, while Bradley fights like he wants to be great. or something to that effect. I thought he was right with that assessment.

Merchant till this day is better than Kellerman.

They should just swap Roy and Steward. Have Roy do WCB and have Steward do B.A.D.
