To be honest boxing need a lot of new breed period!!! The only fighter that excite me right now is Donaire and its a shame, Before we use to have 5 or 8 fighters who were high-profile and who we use to look forward to fighting, Those fighters have different styles too, They brawl with style, they box and move etc but now we just have mediocre fighters.
Slick American fighters are a dieing breed.

Maybe there is no such thing as African American SLICK STYLE huh? its a MYTH..
a lot of African Americans called Devon slick fighter..and Bradley was close to slick..Pac moves better than those guys..they wouldnt want to call Pac slick fighter because he likes engage and fight toe to toe...thats what a offensive boxers do.
but if Devon was a slick fighter i guess Pac is slickier. so give it a rest..no such thing as african american slick fighter. because if there was such thing atleast half of those black boxers today should have been slick..Comment

If it's a style then white european fighters are any fighters in general can have it.
What about Pirog and Bute?Comment

Gamboa is Cuban, Khan is English-Pakistani and Bute is Romanian-Canadian. Gamboa might at least have some African in him, but English-Pakistani and Romanian-Canadian might be as far from African-American as physically possible.Comment

So as that, you don't have to be black to have it.Comment

I don't know how ppl considered Alexander slick...jab, jab, jab, move...
He may fight defensive but that doesn't make him slick...
Slick fighters are awkward, crafty, difficult to hit...
I would consider Ishe Smith "slick" even though he isn't a top fighter...
Pirog looked slick against Danny Jacobs...not sure if that's the usual way he fights tho, haven't seen any other fights of hisComment
