Suddenly he did though when the fight was called off..he quit knew he was losing he should have gone out like Anthony Peterson at least in a blaze of low blow glory

I think it was legit stoppage. I think it would have been stopped whether he protested or not. However not protesting does not look good on camera. Even Andre Dirrell said he wanted to continue after waking up.
