Your talking about Clottey like he's some kind of straight killer. He's not and never has been. Joshua Clottey is a world class fighter. No doubt. But he is what he is, Cautious first. Doesn't exchange, waits till your done throwing, similar to a Winky Wright. Same reason Paul Williams shut out Winky Wright, same reason Manny Pacquaio shut out Joshua Clottey. And you can say, well P Williams is so tall that's what effected it but Winky also went life and death with Sam Soliman. Busy little guy that really didn't get tired.
For some reason a fighter always says the toughest fight of his career was a fight which he won. Check every interview, maybe it's like a mental thing like they don't want to believe that they couldn't beat someone but it's true.
If Clottey was what your making him out to be he never would have let up on a tired and hurt Cotto. But no, he's too cautious and he let that fight slip just like he let Pacquaio run circles around him. No disrespect to Joshua, but that's the fighter Joshua is. Cautious.
