DETROIT -- WBO king, Tim Bradley, won an anti-climactic, 10-round technical decision over WBC champ, Devon Alexander, in Saturday night's HBO televised, junior welterweight (140 pounds) championship bout when referee Frank Garza, acting on the advice of ringside doctor, Peter Samet, stopped the fight as a result of Alexander's complaining that he could not see out of a bleeding right eye as the result of an accidental head butt. Nevada's Duane Ford 97-93, Mexico's Omar Mintun 98-93, and Ohio's Tim Miller, 96-95, all for Bradley.

Bradley won fair,but it was indeed a pretty boring fight.Alexander's lack of guts didnt help either.

Look I think Bradley won the fight, but I would like to see you take head butt after head butt and keep fighting. He clearly had a cut right on the corner of his left eye which probably caused the burning. The fight needed to be stopped, someone's future health was on the line.

How does that change anything? A head butt is a head butt. They were all accidental, its not like Devon was going in there trying to head butt him. He still got headbutted and took the brunt of the damage, nothing else to say. The eye is a very sensitive part of the body, hell getting something as small as an eyelash or dirt in there can cause damage.
