Should Kotelnik Only Have 1 Loss?

Imo he won the Alexander, Witter, and Mbaye fights.

Enough has been said about the Alexander fight, and most boxing fans think that Kotelnik won that. So I won't bother going into that.

    Witter fight:
This was in England (yeah you can understand how fairly that would be judged). The first six rounds there was nothing in it. These rounds were even so I can see people giving 10-10 rounds or split the first six between the two. For the sake of argument, I will even say Witter won 4-5 of the first 6. Starting round 7, Kotelnik didn't lose a round. That is right. This fight can be found on youtube so if anyone is interested they can catch it there. Just make sure you mute it or else the British commentators will convince you Witter is god in the first 6 rounds, and you will score all of the first 6 rounds for him (lol at them thinking Witter will KO Kotelnik in 5 )

And this was a prime Witter, unlike the one Bradley and Alexander fought.

    1st Mbaye fight
I haven't seen the first Mbaye fight because I can't find it but just to let you know, Mbaye was the hometown fighter and it was in France. Mbaye won by SD. Considering what SDs in Germany and France are like, I have good reason to believe that he might have been jobbed.

    2nd Mbaye fight
I don't have much to say here. Just watch the damn fight.......

    Maidana fight:
Kotelnik won this fight but it needs to be mentioned. I scored the fight 115-113 for Kotelnik. But this fight was indeed very close and I can see 115-113 for Maidana as well. Perhaps a draw is the best result?

The only clear loss I have seen of Kotelnik is the Khan loss.

this is also his personal sensation.

for me he gets the nod outta these fights, but when you leave home and go to the hometown of the fighter you are going to fight, you better KTFO him.

Kotelnik did that once against Gavin Rees. and guess what...he won his belt!!
thats why I consider Kotelnik a real champ BTW.

I know I watched the Witter fight but I can't remember it at all. It can't have been a treat to watch.

Yeah it wasn't a treat to watch. The first six rounds were a jabbing contest. Even rounds 7-12 weren't very exciting. It was a pure boxing match in which Witter got outboxed.

I thought he won a hometown decision with Maidana in Germany.

I don't think he would have won that fight in a neutral place...

no, to my surprise the scorecards were totally fair. (since Maidana was also linked with Universum )

I thought he maybe lost the maidana fight, it was so close though, I have scored it for maidana, a draw, and for kotelnik. Kotelnik fought smart and only worked in the rounds where he had success early, really took advantage of the queensbury rules, maidana threw and landed way more though.

The witter fight was difficult, I remember thinking it was a draw the first and only time I have watched it, the scoring was ****.

Mbay can't remember which one I watched but kotelnik won

Watched and scored alexander twice, first run 7-5 kotelnik, second 6-6

Yes, Kotelnik's record should be 34-1

Should have lost to Maidana IMO. Though it was a closeish fight, I have a hard time giving it to Kotelnik. The rounds Maidana won he won big, the rounds Kotelnik won he won by the skin of his teeth. And I felt Maidana won the better percentage of the overall fight.

Haven't seen the Witter fight in ages, and don't really care to, to be honest.
