Promoter Ulf Steinforth of SES is making claims that Sauerland Event's offer of 500,000 EUR, for a fight between WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz (39-2, 23KOs) and comebacking Mikkel Kessler (43-2, 32KOs), is a well disguised PR stunt to create interest in the Danish star's return. Steinforth tells ekstrabladet that he doubts the serious nature of Sauerland's offer. Kessler, pending medical clearance, is planning to return in June after dealing with an eye injury for the last few months.

Its obvious this was an initial offer to gauge the interest from the public and from Stieglitz. The seed has been sewn (sp?) to what seems like an excellent fight for a comebacking Kessler.

So in other words they don't want a good payday for Kessler badly beating their WBO title hostage holding fighter.
