I don't think Tim was afraid. Imagine if Tim had fought and beaten Khan and Alexander had fought and beaten Maidana or Ortiz. This would have been a bigger fight than it is now. That's what he was trying to do. But since the other two top guys in that division didn't want any part of him he had to go to the only guy who would fight him.

Why do fans call a fight between 2 top 3 guys at 140 boring??

It's just that "destroy" is a bit strong a word for jab, jab, feint, holding for 12 rounds don't you think?
