Obviously he wasn't lying, because he's come out of retirement, and looked better than ever. He'd torch Hasim Raham, even at 75% in 2005. But why risk it?
He's said before he will keep going as long as he feels good and is doing well.

I think he gets tired of this question and answers it in different ways all the time.

He obviously won't stick around if he starts slipping, but as he has barely lost a round (maybe one to Sosnowski) since his comeback, that hasn't happened yet.

As for as him ever being afraid of Hasim bloody Rahman, LOL!

It seems like it will be Solis and a voluntary defense or two, then he'll retire.

Haye will never have the courage to face Vitali.

Vitali takes so little punishment in 90% of his fights, that as long as his hands are still good and he still enjoys it, I dont see him retiring. The boxing world better be praying the Klitschko's dont retire and that there is at least one of them fighting for the next 5-6 years. In al honesty, I see no stars on the horizon right now. I know we can all list 5-10 guys who COULD be champions, but I don't see any stars. I look at the young guys and I barely see a Sam Peter coming up. In fact, if you took the Klitschko's and Haye out of the equation, it probably would kill HW boxing. Here would be your champs imo:

        WBA Ruslan Chagaev
        WBC Sam Peter
        IBF Tomaz Adamek
        WBO Eddie Chambers

They would all take turns putting on fights against Chris Arreola, John Ruiz, and Monte Barrett and none would fight eachother.

People who complain abotu the Klitschko's better realize how horrible this will be without them. Theyre active, stand up to guys like don king, they try to fight the best, they want to unify etc...

Well, he already said he'd go after 2010 and now he's scheduled to fight Solis in a few months, here. I didn't think he'd really come back to begin with, considering how injury-plagued he was when he left. It's a hell of a thing he's still here, let alone dominating, despite the less-than-stellar opposition.

It seems like you are right Tunney, I didn't want to believe it but I am finally ready to accept that Haye vs K2 just isn't going to happen and Haye had no intent of it ever happening.

I wonder who VK will fight then after Solis, maybe Adamek or Povetkin? everyone else of not has been beaten or is not ready really for a challenge like that.
