I might take heat for saying this but this is truly the way I look at the situation. Martinez fought a close fight with and then knocked out, in my opinion, a very overrated Paul Williams. He also beat a very limited and very one dimensional Pavlik. And now with all the praise he gets one would think he is the second coming of Ali. And he still only has 50% knockouts in fifty fights so his power may even be overrated. And I don't know much about Dzinziruk but he did have a great amateur career. He is also undefeated with a world class jab. With that said I am not trying to take anything form Martinez and even though Sergei is bit of an unknown quantity this just maybe the best boxer Sergio has faced. But then again the same could be said about Sergei. I just hope it is a good fight.

Buddy is the right trainer for his style. Dzinziruk fights very tall with a very disciplined champion calibre jab. Buddy will teach him how to cover distance and set up traps with the jab and his power hand a la tarver - jones 1. Buddy is good for fighters that are about to face a slick fighter. He is not good with slick fighters period. Dzinziruk will be much much harder than pwill (better technique and discipline) I see this much like the middle rounds of the pavlik fight, chess match, hard punches, do not underestimate this dude - he is very good.

i have watched both beforwe they became popular and seen them progress.
i pick dzindzi to beat martinez in theory and with styles making fights.

but one thing that i am afraid to say here is that the dzindzi inactivity will show and he will probably lose this match.
not because of a skill deficit just because he has been badly handled and if this fight had come a bit earlier when he was more active dzindziruk would win a close points decision.
now martinez has elevated his leevl and that is jjust wat happens wen you fight tough opposition regualrly.

shame because i rate dzindziruk highly and only if martinez underestimates him, then he will lose.
