Kotelnik didn't help himself with any fans or media by throwing light punches just to land, and not going for a KO.

People love pointing to when a fighter gets robbed. He knew whos town he was in, and he should of known he needs to impress.

If he would of went out there to really hurt Alexander, win or lose, hes back on HBO because people will want to see him.

I love how in the 11th round when Dre nearly decapitated Devon with that left hook (1:00 left in the round), the HBO announcers were dumbfounded, especially Kellerman. Instead of acknowledging the punch, they just talked about how tough Alexander was.

Dre turned Devon's head so much he gave that boy whiplash.

Kotelnik won the Maidana fight - the judging was fair.

Maidana was promoted by Universum and so was the home fighter on the Universum card. Kotelnik didn't have a powerful promoter at that time.

Kotelnik was robbed against M'Baye several years before the Alexander fight.
