Comments Thread For: Marcos Maidana: I'll Go To England, Finish Amir Khan Off

Junior welterweight Marcos Maidana (29-2, 27KOs) has taken a few more stabs at WBA 140-pound champion Amir Khan (24-1, 17KOs) of England. Last month they battled back and forth in a bout that won "Fight of The Year" honors from the Boxing Writers Association of America. Khan won a close twelve round decision. Maidana has made allegations that Khan is a cheap boxer who offers low compensation to his opponents. If Khan makes the right offer, Maidana will travel to England for a rematch.

Maidana really wants this fight to happen.

It was the fight of the year in 2010.

Khan won a close 12 round decision on the judges cards.

        They should make this rematch!!!

Maidana doesn't care where the fight takes place, he knows he needs to KO Khan to win and he is fine with it

I wish Maidana would lay off the theatrics about Khan's shrewdness. His own people offered him an extra half-million to get the job done, a career-high payday no doubt.

If he really wants to fight again expect half of what he got paid last time...even though he put in a great performance he lost. I don't think gbp would pay him any more than 250k. If he was willing to take that kind of pay, if he is that confident of winning then maybe it could happen again in the future. Maidana is better off trying to get an easy route to a title, fight for a vacant title or something once the smoke has cleared. He doesn't want to lose again also considering he is in the frame for a pacquiao clash in the near future according to roach who has a say over who pac fights.

Why not rematch the so-called "Fight of the year"? The only other worthy opponent Khan-tucky has available is Prescott.

You had your chance Maidana and you FAILED.

Go back to Argentina and knock more bums out.

Of course Maidana wants a rematch with Khan, Khan already gave him one career high payday now he wants another.

Instead of acting like such a bad loser and trashing Khan to get another fight he should focus on beating a few more top guys at 140 then in a year or so they can get it on again only this time Khan will win a wide U.D/late stoppage.
