I would love to see Khan-Maidana II but cannot see it happening right now. Infact if both do well and continue to pull off impressive wins this will be a super fight for the future, when they can both generate big money and maybe even PPV buys.

Khan might be undercutting McCloskey, but at 31 years old, if a title shot comes around against one of the biggest names in the sport, you take it.

precisely. If McCloskey is so hungry and passionate then he should fight Khan for whatever he's been offered.

FACTS:

- McCloskey is not a big name
- Whatever he's been offered would most likely still be his highest ever payday to date
- The exposure he'd get would be great
- It's a win-win situation for him:

- If he loses then at least he gave it a shot and can hold his head up high

- If he wins he's world champion and could potentially make millions in the future with a rematch with Khan and other top fighters. He makes a name for himself

- There's no shame in losing to Khan, most if not all boxers at 140lbs would lose to him

- If he loses then he still keeps his European belt, which he can still make decent pay-days off of. He can get another title shot later this year or next year

Maidana made 500,000 with khan.Peterson and mcclosey want the
same which is bullshlt.

Maidana got $575,000 I think. And I think if he won he would get an additional bonus of $175,000. But I'm sure he also got a cut of the PPV money from the UK, probably a couple hundred-thousand dollars or so.

So Maidana probably made over $750k from the Khan fight, that's a lot of money. There's no way McCloskey or Peterson deserve even half of that considering Peterson got $100k for his last fight (Ortiz) and McCloskey has probably never had a £100k+ purse.

That's good money considering he got half of that to fight Ortiz.

He'd get $200k purse and I'm sure he'd get a bonus if he won (Maidana would have got an extra $175k had we won). Plus if Peterson won I'm sure there would have been an instant rematch clause in the contract that would have seen him make considerably higher.

Turning down a world title bout (no matter the purse) is a joke considering that he's 1-1-1 in his last 3 fights. IMO he should be 1-2-0 in his last 3 fights because I had Ortiz winning that fight by 2 rounds.
