Comments Thread For: Klitschko: Haye and Adamek Are The Only Big Names Left

WBO, IBO and IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, and his older brother, WBC champion Vitali Klitschko, are having a very hard time creating big fights in their division. Wladimir blames the problem on the lack of established names at the weight. He considers WBA champion David Haye, and two-division title winner Tomasz Adamek, as the only big name opponents at heavyweight. Both Haye and Adamek were fighters who moved up from the cruiserweight division.

Well, it's what usually happens when you've got 2 guys dominating everyone, and the rest of the contenders don't fight amongst themselves for fear of losing the payday against those 2 guys.

Yup. Only 2 big names left. That's why Wlad is now crawling on his knees to get a fight against Haye.

I wonder what Wlad will do once he is forced to pick inside the recycle bin people like Chambers. It has already started in fact with Peter. I wonder if he'll retire with no challenges left, or pile up meaningless defenses against the Derrick Rossis of this world..

tbh id normally agree with you but looking back at the 3 fight slavery deal they offered haye first time round he wasnt offered big money at all......valuev has also said trying to deal with klit bros is horrendous and they offered him a measly sum to fight also solis has said recently they offered him a small amount
shannon briggs has recently come out and said he was suppose to be getting$750 000 for his world title shot against vitali but received $25 000 and they took his medical bills off his purse
with the bros being so dominant they have the power they are greedy and tbh if wlad really deep down wanted the fight against haye why would he risk losing the biggest payday of his l;ife(by a mile) by fighting chisora which he wasnt actually legally bound to do as he wasnt a mandatory defence
im as fustrated as anyone that haye wlad isnt on but theres more than meets the eye haye agreed to all terms including rtl german network which was less money ect and then wlad puts the big fight at risk by fighting chisora 9 weeks before the haye fight?

Whaaa? You are still buying Booth 'n' Sauerland propaganda (= excuses)?

The 3 fight deal was EXACTLY what Haye wanted BUT EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY it was exactly what fans worldwide wanted.

No wonder you believe Haye's nonsense: Because you can't even distinguish who screwed whom.

Thanks wladimir for your honest words! i respect that!
hes right there are no big names other than haye and adamek(even though i consider this to be a missmatch)
but there are some upcoming young guys in the heavyweigt division but they will need a lot more time till they are ready to step in the ring with the kitschkos! and the klitschkos wont box forever! This could be vitalis last year f active boxing!

Why fight Chisora instead of Haye then?

              Makes zero sense.

I dunno, it shows he is a man of principle really.

But it's not like Chisora earned a title tilt.

He is not fighting Chisora instead of Haye. He was going to fight both, until Haye *****ed out.
