And Prescott is the only boxer who stops the boxer who can make figures fighting bums. Given that Prescott is a bum himself we have a nice mathematical recursion.

seems like canelo, berto, and khan are going to be the new faces of hbo boxing... i doubt theyll turn down any of their fights. but wow, never thought id hear pacquiao and klitschko in the same sentence. HBO would be ****** not to buy the klitschko/adamek fight...

in the minds of HBO Berto has star quality he is a young exciting fighter with a ton of potential and that's what they are banking on in the future this is the guy they want to headline HBO PPV right now he is overpaid but HBO knows they have to step up his Competition level sooner than later

I think the real message of this article is what Klitschkos been arguing for all along -- boxing, at least most of it, should be on free television.

The Klitschko have had their own problems with HBO. The network has refused to carry the majority of their fights for the last couple of years. Wladimir has not appeared on the network since December 2008 when he knocked out Hasim Rahman. Older brother Vitali Klitschko, the WBC champion, last appeared on HBO in September 2009 when he knocked out Chris Arreola.

klitschkos better hope they get early lucky knockouts.

but if they do,people will see the obvious mismatches they make.

or they will be banned from all big US channels for being boring and putting people to sleep again.

                especially wlad.

alteast knock bums out quick, and put a real fast beating on them,if your going to face them.

Boxing needs some new life in the mainstream because its a dead sport to some and showcasing good fights on free television on a regular basis definitely will take it to the next level and generate more interest in the sport

What you talking about, they always did. Wlad, at least ideologically, is much closer to Pacman while Haye is much closer to Mayweather.

The Klitschko's understand the sacrifice it takes for boxing to increase its popularity. I can see them gladly taking a pay cut/increase (depending what network wants their fight) to fight on CBS. Hopefully, they can find a way onto CBS and attract the similarly to what they do in Germany.

The bad part about it is that the Klitschko's don't have a vast stable of good fighters and their careers will be over whithin 5 years or 2 losses (whichever comes first), so it won't have a lasting effect, unless promoters are ready and willing to do the same.
