Middleweight is a wide open division right now.

agreed. The MW division is pretty stale right now, and yet there are a lot of good prospects in the division like Golovkin, Guerrero, and Lemiuex.
MW has been mediocre for a long time though, since about 1993 or so.
I think Lemieux is going to be the guy to take the division by storm soon, although Golovkin could give him problems.
Isnt Korobov also a middleweight? I wonder when hes going to emerge on the big stage.
people keep saying that Pirog is young, but the guy is 30. He seems solid, but I need to see a bit more of him first...all he did is beat Jacobs, who was pretty fast but imo lacked a lot of schooling.Comment

the middleweight is very a prestigious division. it seems to be wide open, but it never was as the best didnt fight the best the last couple of years.
Im glad Martinez dethroned the long reign champ in Pavlik who refused to fight Arthur Abraham etc. neither Abraham and Sturm fought eachother.
Martinez is looking for some superstar at the lower weightclasses. cant blame him tho.
nobody wants to fight Golovkin...Hope N'Jikam grows some balls and fight him alreay.
Hope Geale, Slyvesters mando, gets his well earned title shot.
Sturm is his own promoter now...but you know hell fight as many cuns as possible. one day he will be forced to fight a mando as he stated himself. Hope it will be golovkin. he deserved it.
Pirog wants to fight in Russia...idk about HBO interests...
Zbik will fight Chavez(who fights Lyell, WAR LYELL) in MEX than the winner of Lemieux v Rubio will fight that winner (that will never happen LOL).Martinez with his Emeritus status can fight the winner than, highly doubtful.Last edited by cleaner147; 01-26-2011, 04:32 PM.Comment
