The problem with Boxing

I was looking at a soccer website and in this article they had a list of sport in America and what percentage of the population like at least one sport and which is their favorite. I don't know how accurate this list is but it speaks for itself.

Pro football: 31%
Baseball: 17%
College football: 12%
Auto racing: 7%
Men's pro basketball: 6%
Hockey: 5%
Men's soccer: 4%
Men's college basketball: 4%
Not sure: 3%
Men's golf: 2%
Track & field: 2%
Bowling: 2%
Men's tennis: 2%
Boxing: 1%
Horse racing: 1%
Women's tennis: 1%
Swimming: 1%

1% would still be like 2,000,000 people would consider it their favorite sport.

Still that list is depressing as an American boxing fan.

I would be ecstatic if boxing were popular as hockey going by those numbers, TBH.

Though, I'm surprised some of the percentages aren't higher for some of the sports, particularly the four main sports and NCAA football and basketball. Maybe those asked could only vote for one sport?

The only good thing about that list is MMA isn't on it~ and who knows if that was even a choice.

3 million would be if you count everyone, I was trying to exclude children and non sport fans.

I guess you can look at it as glass half full though 1% isn't that terrible.

NCAA football and basketball are huge.

The majority of top tier football programs have stadiums that hold well over 75,000 and sell out regularly. I think Michigan's is the largest, with a capacity near 110,00. If that number is wrong, I'm sure Check will correct me.
