      $25,000 for that beating!?!

It's a good job health-care is largely paid for by the government in Germany.

HAHAHAH wow this dumbass really thought that it was the german promotors who screwed him (although they did screw him casue they paid him pennies to get his ass whipped while vitali made about 10 million), BUT, as far as taking his purse, and deducting earnings, ITS HIS OWN FELLOW "friends" WHO HE ENGAGED IN BUSINESS WITH

with the understanding that he would be paid a purse of $750,000, but that he wound up with a mere $25,000, after he returned to the United States after the prolonged hospital stay in Hamburg.

this might be the first time since the Lewis fight that im rooting for Briggs...that's just not cool...and to deduct his hospital costs from his purse?!?!? that's straight up sad

if this is all true, well, this is sad

of course a stay in hospital as long as Briggs' has been must be very costly, but I thought boxers were buying special insurances for fights in other countries to prevent precisely this

Briggs deserves every cent of that purse for taking this ridiculous beating, I hope it turn out well for him in trial

Great, now an even better reason to not host fights in Germany.

I'm sure there is more to this that what the one side is telling us. Let's wait until we make a judgment until the other side has their say in this matter.
