or is weight too big an issue?

wow nobody EVER responds and talks about some real boxing talk. all they wanna talk about is mayweather and manny. it's sad, really. this is supposed to be boxings website, and it's just 12 year old *******s, *****s and flompacmotards. .

to answer ur question, YES, I THINK THE FIGHT CAN, AND MIGHT VERY WELL BE MADE if Sergio sends away a few young and hungry MW's in 2011-early 2012 like golovkin, andy lee, AND THEN he will fight pirog for undisputed MW champ. IF HE BEATS PIROG, and ANDRE WARD has been cleaning house at 168, then they will meet at 165.

Exactly.. I don't know if he'd go up in weight.. but it'd be interesting.

Doubt it Martinez is a small middleweight.

I think its a fight that could happen. Sooner than later though cause I do believe that Ward has said he will eventually have to move to light-heavy. Don't know how far away from that he is though.

seems unlikely, martinez imo only has 2 more years, and this year is already taken up by trying to capture middleweight supremacy. even though i already think he is the top dog in the MW division, he needs to beat pirog sergiy and zbik, to defend and claim that title. it could happen at some kind of catchweight, but idk, i think martinez will retire by the time it comes to that.

If it does happen it'll be in Oakland.

                    Ward would destroy Martinez.
