WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan (24-1, 17KOs) has advised Paul McCloskey (22-0, 12KOs) to see the light and accept the money on the table for a world title fight on April 16 at the MEN Arena in Manchester. Khan is upset with McCloskey's rejection of his initial offer. Another offer has been made to McCloskey and Khan hopes he accepts.

Gotta say I agree with this. If I was McCloskey and I thought I could win this I'd take my shot. Obviously if the money was lower than prior fights I'd have an issue but if it's a career high you have to take what you can get.
McCloskey isn't a name and this is the quickest way to recognition.
Step up or go back to building your record.

They should go after Murray or Prescott, Mccloskey should have use this to launch himself to a bigger audience so am surprise he turndown the fight over money (If its true), Only a few people know him outside of the Irish republic so that decision look ******.

If fighters want to negotiate through the press then how about some transparency?

Rather than appealing to people with arbitrary “numbers” how about an actual figure and let the fans decide for themselves who’s making unreasonable demands?

Hopefully Paul accepts this offer. I cant see how he can win, but in a fight anything can happen, so ill be watching with my fingers crossed whilst Paul gets his head beat in!

McCloskey looks geniunely classy against the level of opposition he's fighting. But, obviously it's not world-class opposition.

hopefully he can sort that out before Khan gets to him but hes 31 so its not exactly puppy fat. Khan will work the body too, so while i think (hasnt been properly tested yet) he has a good chin, the body shots may finish him.

There wont be much inside fighting in this one, neither guy has a clue how to do it. And Khan is quicker and more accurate, and Paul doesnt have the pop to hurt him unless he catches Khan coming in with a 1 in a million punch. Think its gonna be a painfull night for Paul, but like i said, u never know!

McCloskey is too slow to compete with Khan. He is not a big ****er anyway, I rather pay for a Prescott rematch even favoring Khan by alot. Khan has progressed and Prescott has shown how limited he is.

All the other names circulating I really don't have no interest since they are just looking to show case Khan
