well im scottish and i certainly see ricky burns move up in weight but i dont think it will be untill next year.
his trainer says he makes the 130lb weight fine so there is no reason why he cant stay there and make some £££ and fight some other champions.
in reference to moving to lightweight....burns is 5,10 so hes very tall for the weight so a move up will very likely happen.
lightweight though has much more depth than at 130 so it would be a big test for burns to win another title there at the momemt
but....as mentioned burns is not looking to move up untill next year so who knows what the lightweight division will be like in 2012??Leave a comment:
