Benn says that he was hit by a McClellan body shot in round three that REALLY hurt him and caused Benn to have to wave McClellan on pretending that it didn't hurt so that McClellan wouldn't hit him with that again! It was very smart quick-wittedness from Benn. -
fun old thread. I said Herol Graham. Eubank flat out said he would never fight Graham, and never did...for a good reason. I think Eubank would have lost to Graham, and I think Benn would have too, unless Benn landed a bomb.
his only losses during his best years were against McCallum, Kalambay and Jackson...the Jackson loss he was dominating in until Jackson turned out the lights, and theres really no shame in losing to McCallum or Kalambay. after all, McCallum beat the hell out of Watson and gave Steve Collins a boxing lesson. and as most people know, Watson knocked out Benn and almost did the same to Eubank twice. Collins ended up beating both of them as well wehn they were past their best.
I dont want to go overboard with traigle theory or anything...but Graham was one talented boxer. just watch him. his career was just horribly unlucky.Comment
