It cracks me up when people criticize someone for doing something (in this case Bradley telling the press that he's been sick), when they really don't know themselves what they would do if the shoe was on the other foot. I think Devon and Cunningham would definately tell the press if Devon had been sick during training. Both admittidly know this is the biggest fight of their career thus far, and like it or not being sick during training, especially this close to fight night - is a big deal. A lesser fighter would have backed out of the fight completely, so big kudos to Timmy for pressing forward and not letting the fans down. Tim Bradley has never been one to make excuses, and if he lost to Devon (which I doubt), he would be the first to say "I make no excuses."
The way Devon is reacting to the news of Tim telling the press that he's been sick is amusing to me, because I have zero doubt that Cunningham would be the first to let the world know that Devon was not 100% during training (ESPECIALLY if he lost). It kindof reminds me of when Corrales was fighting Castillo, and he was so pissed off that Castillo kept coming in overweight for their fights. He was so pissed, in fact, that he went on air after cancelling their 3rd fight because of Castillos inability to make weight, and told everyone how disrespectful and unproffesional it was for Castillo to not make weight... and in fact, Corrales also went as far as to later SUE for punitive damages. But the kicker of the story is that in his next fight (a title fight no less), only 4 months after the Castillo fiasco, it was Corrales that failed to make weight for the scheduled trilogy against Casamayor. Oh, the irony.... [There is no disrespect intended towards Diego Corrales (R.I.P), everything I've stated here is a FACT.]
The point is - Devon has no idea what he would do himself had he been in the same position. Nobody knows what they would actually do unless they are experiencing it themselves. It's too easy to say what you "would do". Having to do it is a whole other matter. People who are judgemental are usually the ones that end up making fools of themselves.
