I say the Cotto win was more impressive. the Mayweather fight was more exciting but I expected him to win easy. Cotto I did not. Cotto boxed very well and earned that victory. That was the first fight I thought, "Damn this Cotto is a real technician when hre wants to be".
cotto could always box. that didn't impress me. it was a close fight, but I had mosley winning the fight.
Mosley was 2 and a half years older when he fought Floyd than when he fought Cotto.
fun fact.
I just addressed my opinion about how good Mosley was when he fought Cotto and Floyd respectively. People make it out to be a huge, huge difference and I just don't see it. Mosley was coming off an impressive win against Margarito in the lead up to the fight with Floyd like he was coming off a pretty good performance against Collazo before he fought Cotto. And Margarito is better than Collazo is in my view not to mention Mosley didn't even knock Collazo out and he stopped Margarito. Take all this for what it's worth.
And not only did Mosley beat Margarito, but he had beat him after Margarito ass ****d Cotto. Lol. So how the fuck did Cotto fight a version of Shane Mosley that was so much better than the version that Floyd fought. Somebody try to debate me on this. It'll be fun like your so called fact. Not to mention that Mosley had ****m and everybody viewed it as a career reviver.

Yeah but he had a swagger that I never expected to him have against a top fighter. He looked at ease and unaffected by the fact that it was his biggest fight to that point. That was his HoF fight for me. I actually picked him to lose.

It is a big difference. Mosley was obviously more fresh when he fought Cotto. Mosley was a year and 3 months older when he fought Mayweather than when he fought Margarito, and Margarito has been crap since the Cotto fight anyway.
A year and 3 months is a long time, it can make a damn big difference. especially when considering layoff.
besides, its obvious just by watching Mosley himself that hes worse now.
why not just pretend that Mosley was prime at 38 as opposed to 28? after all, Margarito was a bigger win than Shannon Taylor.
Mosley was going into the Cotto fight with nine months of inactivity. Not as bad as a year and five months. But it's over halfway close to matching the inactivity that Mosley had when he fought Floyd. Not a huge, huge difference.

he didn't have swagger to me... at the end of the fight, he was running for dear life.
I thought Cotto clearly beat SSM, although it was much closer than Floyd/Mosley. Floyd completely shut him out after round 2, but let's not pretend that Mosley was the same fighter by the time Floyd got to him. The version that Cotto fought was not a "prime" Mosley... much less 2 and a half years later.

Well, to be fair it kind of baffles me how Mosley can dominate a guy like Collazo but then look like shit against Mora who I think is not as good if you want me to be honest. But we do gotta remember that Mora has a win over Forrest even though he got owned in the second fight. And everybody knows that Forrest always had Shane's number regardless of how old Shane was. Hell, Forrest would be older than Shane is if he was alive today.
