Tito was never beaten in his prime.

The one who fought Joppy would destroy Hagler. Tito may have started at welterweight but SRR started at lightweight. Hagler never beat anyone as good as Tito.

There was no need for this tread.Hagler hits Tito & Tito hits the floor.

          Hearns' right hand>Trinidads left hook.

Hearns KOed guys from Welterweight to Cruiserweight. literally. He KOed a former Cruiserweight #1.

past Welterweight Hearns had better stamina....not as good as Trinidad, Ill give you that, but he was mostly weight drained at WW. I dont think Trinidad's chin was any better than Hearns, he went down very often. and his defense is definitely worse than Hearns.

also look what Winky Wright did with his southpaw jab against Trinidad. Hagler's jab was even better, and heavy. He would have completely nullified Trinidad with it, and would have beaten the **** out of him when the fighting got heavy.

Ive never seen Hagler get hit flush with a left hook. Left hooks are hard to land against southpaws, because the angle has to be changed a lot.

Predictably, people are continuing with the "Hagler was a brawler" myth. So I'll go into my broken record routine and mention that Hagler boxed way more often than he brawled.

Hagler outboxes Trinidad and stops him in the mid to late rounds.

Hearns was a great fighter but come on hes not better than Tito.

Tito went onto win the fights he went down in while Hearns could not recover. Does Ali have a poor chin because he went down a few times? Getting up is what matters and Tito always done that.

Tito was shot when he fought Winky. But I agree Hagler would beat that version of Tito.

Titos got a left hook that will land anyone its fast and precise. It going to land at some point and when it does Tito will finish him of. Tito was known as the best finisher in boxing.

Trinidad didnt go down 'a few times'. Cortes, Stephans, Campas, Carr, Lueshing, Reid, Vargas, Hopkins, Mayorga, Jones...well, thats all the ones I know of.
He went down in almost half his title fights.

Hearns has gone down to win as well, against Roldan, Kinchen and Delgado...and all fights he was past prime in.

I dont see how Trinidad can possibly be better than Hearns.

Hearns has wins over Clyde Gray, Weston, Curry, Espada, Cuevas, Shields, Benitez, Duran, Hutchings, Sutherland, Shuler, DeWitt, Andries, Roldan, Kinchen, Leonard, Hill, and Nate Miller, from Welterweight to Cruiserweight.
what has Trinidad done thats near as good as this?

Trinidad was an unbeatable 3 weight champion in his prime 41-0.

Tito has one of the greatest resumes in boxing. Whitaker, Vargas, De La Hoya and countless others.

Trinidad's footwork wasn't all that good. Remember how often he'd just follow Hopkins in a straight line instead of at an angle? He kept circling the wrong way against Wright. De La Hoya made him look really flat-footed and gave him angles.

In addition to having many other advantages, Hagler also had very good, economic movement. Imagine how many jabs Tito will eat when he's trying to follow Hagler. The more I think about this matchup, the more dominant I think Hagler is.
