  • HBO Spokesman Ray Stallone:"Arum Informed UsThe Network Won't Be Involved"

While HBO spokesman Ray Stallone said he was unaware who was doing Pacquiao-Mosley, he acknowledged that Arum had informed the network that it would not be involved.

"It's a business decision. We move on," Stallone said.

That should end all this crap that HBO didn't want Pacquiao-Mosley.

How can HBO not want this fight?

If they could make money by putting pac taking a ***** on PPV, they would

But some people here think it was HBO who gave Top Rank the boot and not the other way around.

You have to realize that the majority of posters on here don't know a whole lot about the sport of boxing.

Most are just parrots, and saying "HBO gave Top Rank the boot" sounds nice, but anyone with common sense knows how mu h money HBO loses from not showcasing this PPV.

Why are people so surprised? Didn't Arum state that he was thinking about taking his business elsewhere in the future because of what happened with HBO and Cotto?

I hope HBO puts on a card during Pac/Mosley. I'm not at all interested in that fight.

because hbo ain't making as much money on boxing as you think. thats why they've been cutting there boxing budget back the last couple years.

It seems that YOU don't know that much about the sport of boxing.

HBO doesn't make that much off a PPV. The affiliates and RBOC's make the lion's share.

Of course, if you care to have a debate about the revenue flow-thru for a boxing event, i will welcome that.

We posted this at the same time.

                    Kudos.

Top Rank (the poster, not the promo company) doesn't understand the business of the sport.
