Didn't he just KTFO Hector Camacho Jr? Now he's fighting Marco Antonio Rubio, a decent opponent.
Plenty of fighters get in there with the big dogs by 22. Look at Broner who is going to fight Ponce, Alexander with Urango and company, Danny Jacobs, even Gary Russel at 21 is being pushed like crazy. Same could be said about many Mexican fighter and some British. This kid is following in the steps of Dmirti Pirog. Fight nobodys and accomplish nothing until you're 31. Pirog won't end up fighting a top 10 guy until he is at least 33. This is a young mans game. If you ain't stepping it up by 25 chances are you aren't gonna be much. Lemieux's got time but untill then he is a bum beating punk.

And that fight did him so much good, right?

Your hating on a 22 year old kid fighting in an eliminator, which means he will fight for a belt before he turns 23.

And you forget to talk about fighters that fought in big fights when they were young, but were shot before they turned 30.

BTW, how old was Sergio Martinez when he stepped up?

Sergio is more the exception than the rule. I doubt many fighters after the age of 25 that haven't stepped it up have a future as a top 10 fighter in the world. As for Jacobs it gave him crazy amounts of experience. He knows now what it is like to lose and be humiliated. By the time he is 25 he will be one of top fighters in his division. Same can't be said for the guys that are 30 that have never experience what it's like to fight the best. They will end up failing like Jacobs but be too old to recover and have a good career.

Jaidon Cordington was supposed to be the next big thing when he was 21 and fought Allan Green. How much good did that KO loss do him?

I'm not saying those are the rule, but there are exemples of guys who were successful taking their time before they stepped up, and of guys who stepped up early and didn't go far in the sport despite all the talent in the world. Everybody is different and all roads can lead to failure as well as to success.

                    <----

                    He is sick.

Quebec is Canada's pride for fighting. Some drunk Ontarian always said frenchy are ***** who can't fight but on a International level they don't have a George St. Pierre or a David Lemieux. Jean Pascal is Haitian but moved here when he was 3-4 years old. Bute is just a foreigner in the country tho.

Lemieux would be champion before his 30th birthday, for sure.
