I really think father time has crept up on Shane and that’s no discredit to him the man has fought the best of them win or lose but Manny is just on another level right now and if there were ever a ripe opportunity for Shane to be taken it’s this one.

You are only good as your last performance, in this case Shane’s last TWO performances have been less than stellar and I’m being generous in stating it.

Massive exposure and hype not seen in a long time from CBS and affiliates may force the referee to be briefed regarding the "safety" of the fighters. Even if the losing fighter wasn't going to hit the canvas, I see a referee stoppage without hesitation. A one-sided beatdown would warrant the referee to step in and give CBS a classic highlight to play for primetime.

If ever there has been a chance of sugar getting stopped its this time, he is not the hardest fighter to hit, he is going to bring it put on a good show but I think he will take too many of Manny's shots to make it all 12.

I guess well see in May. Age has certainly crept on Shane, and Pac is capable of taking him out, but I still think the Shane has enough left to do the same. The 147 pound limit will force him to train harder, the fight being schedualed well in advance and not coming outta the blue like the Mora fight could possibly help, and the notoriety of the spotlight one last time should have Shane pumped to some degree.

Again, the most likely winner is Pac, and I can really see him moving and countering Shane all night, but he will get hit at some point. And I honestly don't think his punch resistance at welter is what people think it is. And I could see Pac struggling quite a bit with Shane's last two opponents as opposed to a Clottey that couldn't care to win (And still marked him up) and a Margarito that's a C level fighter as long as you check his gloves in the locker room.

Unless he clinches throughout the fight I can see his corner throwing in the towel.

LOL at the bold I had to chuckle at it, thing is with Shane (as I stated in another thread) he’s just been too flatfooted since campaigning at 147 and as the years went on he’s not only been more stationary but easier to hit as some have already mentioned in this thread.

That said, I guess we both agree that the odds are in Manny’s favor I just think more so with what Manny brings to the table to that of what is now lacking in Mosley.

It’s funny, I wish there were a time machine where both fighters competed at 135 (That’s where Mosley was monster) where hand speed and combos from both sides would be a 4th of July extravaganza for 12 rounds (if it last that long).

Anybody ever seen Shane cut? Me personally I've never seen him cut.

Other than the headbutt in Forrest I, I haven't either.
