WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez has cleared the air about a possible fight with Erik Morales on April 9 in Las Vegas. This past Thursday, Marquez met with his promoters, Golden Boy Promotions, but the money presented to face Morales was not what he expected. They also offered championships fights against WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto and WBA junior welterweight champ Amir Khan. Golden Boy will present Marquez with a new offer to face Morales on Tuesday.

hmm,i think morales is the one most wanted by marquez,and at this stage,probably the easiest fight.

i cant see marquez keen on fighting berto and khan,two much bigger guys who are young fast and poweful,and have the footwork and range to stop marquez getting as much success as usual in fights.

i think marquez would prefer khan,him being the lower weight class,the suposed "bad chin".

but actuallly berto would be easier to fight,he hasnt fought anyone good and won yet,he hasnt been tested chin wise,he doesnt seem that impresive,just a raw talent beating up bums.

if khan is willing to take marquez now,1 fight before a unification showdown,then props to him.

imagine if he beats marquez then beats alexander/bradley.

i could see him matching up agiasnt berto and then alverez in a couple years aswell.(if he keeps winning in good fashion)
