this goes beyond one fight IMO for Top Rank
I had dinner with Bob about two years ago and even then he was outlining how he would use network TV to his advantageComment

All your words coming out of your ass dumbass.. Arum already talking about bringing Pac to CBS / Showtime since way before the Hatton fight.. Arum never proposed and even with the negotiations, he never mentioned he will bring this fight to HBO.. He threatened to pull out his other fighters if they will reject Cotto vs Vanes/Mayorga and he did.Comment

If CBS is going to get more involved that is good for the sport.
It will be interesting to see if CBS/Showtime really battle it out with HBO, competition is usually good thing though.
Getting this fight to me was not critical for HBO and it is a good spot for Showtime to pluck it because risk is low and HBO was meh on it, boxing being a star oriented business (as always) so Showtime finally getting to do something with Manny makes them look good.Comment

You're the definition of an idiot.Yeah blame Cotto for the pac vs mosley fight being on showtime lmao. Pac last 5 fights have been on HBO showtime, so you do the math. HBO like the rest of the boxing fans are sick of seeing Pac pick his fighters that are coming off loses....They ARE"NT FRONTING THE BILL FOR THIS FIGHT...if they thought the fight was marketable trust me...they would welcome it with open arms, but its NOT!!!
face it bro...its SHOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWTIME lol haha they should show it on friday night to ****e it upComment
