How Much Do Wlad's Losses Hurt Him?

& his Legacy & ATG HW Ranking?

Wlad record is very impressive, but do his losses relly hurt him?

His 3 losses were against a Journyman & 2 C level fighters and all resulted in him being KO'd.

-Ross Puritty-24-13 (Had won just 1 of his last 4 going into Wlad fight) And ended up with 27 losses.

-Corrie Sanders(Nate Tubbs & Hasim Rahman had already KO'd Sanders, and after Wlad fight, Sanders would only have 5 more fights losing 2 of them)

-Lamon Brewster(Going into the Wlad fight Clifford Etienne & Charles Shufford had already defeated Brewster)

They hurt him. Just like Lennox' losses hurt him.

Still Wlad has been on a great run since then. Barely lost a round.

its the fact he has defeated no good heavyweight which makes the losses worse

if he lost to fighters but say beat them again or defeated some really good heavyweights, then they would not matter too much but his resume is god awful

his record is of quantity not quality.

some say that quantity of wins is the quality.

but i prefer to judge a fighter on who he fought, how he fought them, and how many big fights he won,and in impressive fashion, whether it be a complete shut out,or getting knocked down, losing on points but winning by KO in the end.

who someone did not fight can often say more about thier career than who they did fight.

With those standards how many good heavies did Larry Holmes beat?

They will be talked about when he is gone from boxing but he has had a damn good run since. Losses happen to everyone and I think it says alot about him that he was able to bounce back and become the best in the world after 3 stoppages losses while some lose 1 fight and are never the fighter they were.

Not much at all. If anything, those losses help him. Wlad was supposed to be finished and chuck in the exposed hypejob bin after Brewster. He's gone from that to dominating his division with ease.

His run since erases a lot of the impact those losses have, but they will always be there, as already said just like Lennox Lewis's two KO losses did.

He beat better Heavyweights than Wladamir thats for certain.

His wins over Ken Norton, Earnie Shavers x2, Gerry Cooney, Tim Witherspoon, Terver Berbick, Carl Williams & unbeaten Ray Mercer, surpass Wladamir's by a fair bit I'd say.
