Pac have never been as big of a draw as his worshippers like you like to claim. He drew 1.1 million in his last fight (Margarito), 700,000 before that fight (Clottey) and 1.2 million (Cotto). Margarito supposedly has a following, but the fight still didn't draw the 1.5 million that Arum claimed and predicted. Mosley cannot draw flies and even hard-core boxing fans won't buy this fight. If hard core fans won't buy it, what they hell makes your ****** ass think that casual fans will buy it? How many fans did Mosley draw in his last PPV against Sergio Mora? The answer is we don't know because the numbers were so low that HBO refused to release them. If Pac has never drawn more than 1.2 million on PPV and the only time he has drawn more than 1 million has been when he fought three Hispanics (De La Hoya, Cotto, Margarito) with a good following, what the hell makes you think he will draw more than 1 million with a guy who the networks won't even put on PPV as the featured attraction?

No doubt, and in reality I hope this **** kind of flops TBH. I would love for Golden boy and HBO to counter program with Mexican theme on free HBO for the Cinco de Mayo weekend. I hope UFC does something big for May 7. Because maybe if it flops and I'm talking about less than 700k type flop. Then it could get Pac to go back to his 08-09 type of run.

However, I don't see how this move hurts the event at all. If anything it will help the event. Because, at the end of the day the people that were going to order it and watch it on HBO PPV will still do it on Showtime. That is really the worse case scenario. The only thing they will be banking on is to CBS viewers who were not thinking about ordering it or didn't know about to order the event.

For this event I don't see how it hurts. But, in the bigger picture I can see something HBO=GBP/Floyd and Showtime=Top Rank/Pac. That we would get nothing close to a big fight. And, that would hurt the sport in general.

Bro.. HBO can't afford to host Pacquiao/Mayweather. They've got to pay for Andre Berto's next fight. It's just not realistic. My big question in a Pac/May showdown would be who's name goes first on the promotional materials? I can't see either side conceding that honor..

And according to Reuters, CBS is the most watched tv network in America...All the CSI shows, Survivor, and that Charlie Sheen show are all on CBS.
